#Audiodg exe windows#
Upon further digging seems to be that audiodg.exe itself is (and has been) a critical leaking flaw of Windows since doesn't release the memory it "gathers" when sounds are being played. why is audiodg increasing in memory ONLY when Destiny 2 is running?Īnd will Bungie be able to fix it? Cause i would like to play this game more as i just started it.but if this is how it's gona be, well. perhaps this is what was causing the issue/leak? I noticed there were some older Memory Leak posts but they didn't seem to mention this (or get solved). It got to the point where my memory pre-Destiny 2 (discord, firefox, steam) was sitting at about 15% memory use.Īfter Destiny 2 started and the game was in was sitting at near 30% but the memory for audiodg was creeping up slowly. So i play the game for about 15 mins or so, keeping an eye on the memory of "audiodg.exe" as it continutes to grow and grow and grow and grow at a steady 3000 KB every few seconds as i shoot, kill, explore, etc.even idle a bit.

"Ok." i think, "So Destiny is doing something with it's just setting up whatever it needs for the sounds and stuff?" So i restart the computer and immediately switch on the Resource Manager to keep an eye on "audiodg.exe".and it stablizes at around 31,000-ish KB once the computer boots up.īoot up Destiny 2 - It starts to increase by 3000KB every few seconds. The thing that was hogging ALL the memory was "audiodg.exe" which was at around several millions of KB (so a few gigs of memory). I checked task manager and found nothing being a particular memory hog.then i checked the Memory and i was using up 80% of my phsyical memory when usually i'm only using 25-40% (at worst) if i'm running a game, discord and/or stream. Only my entire computer was still chugging and it wasn't stopping. I figure it's cause i can't handle streaming and playing the game at the same time.so i stop. So.i was playing Destiny 2 and about 2 hours into it the game is lagging, stuttering and everything is lagging and slowing to crazytown.
